Blocking Unwanted Callers

Overview

You can block calls from scammers or any other unwanted callers from the WHC Business Portal. This article describes the steps to accomplish this.

Prerequisites

Solution

<supportagent> To access the customer's business portal:

  1. Log into the Business Portal.
  2. Navigate to the Companies section.
  3. Search for the customer by Company Name.
  4. Click on the Select option for the company in the results section.

  1. In the Business Portal, go to the Sites tab and select the correct site.
  2. Navigate to Features > Management.
  3. Click on Configure for Calling Plans.
  4. Navigate to the Digit Strings tab.
  5. Click on the Add option.

  6. Enter a Name for the unwanted caller and their number in the Digit Pattern field.

    Note: You can block multiple numbers at the same time by using * for Wildcard Match. If, for example, you enter the number 1235678*, all numbers from 123456780 to 123456789 will be blocked.

  7. Click on Save.
  8. Navigate to the Incoming Calling Plans tab.
  9. Locate the digit string created in Step 6 by its Name.
  10. Select the Block option from the dropdown list.

  11. Click on Save.

Testing

Once the changes have been saved, a success message will be displayed at the top of the screen and incoming calls from the specified numbers in the Digit String will be blocked.
